Commuting
Orange, and Red lines. Using a lot more purell.
These are all things that have become a part of my life over the past
few months.
My first job flying jets was for a charter company based in
pensylvania. I lived in Massachusetts. I had to commute. 7 hours one
way. I would usually do this 6 times a month. It became part of the job.
Then I got spoiled. I took a job where the jet was based 5 minutes
from my house. It was good for me and good for the company. I was able
to be hands on to oversee the jet, prepare for trips, and be availible
for pop-up trips within 20-30 minutes.
Enter our amazing economy. People start losing thier savings, thier
jobs, thier homes.
I now find myself doing less flying than I like but taking part in a
new life experience.
Since the new year is rapidly approaching, I find myself looking at my
career and wondering what to do now. I'm thankful for a job (which is
both flying and working in a service industry), but the more time I
spend away from a plane the more I miss it.
That's all.
